

Laura is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC007425), Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor (S1987), and Certified Professional Counselors Supervisor (#547). She received Master of Science and Education Specialist degrees in Professional Counseling from Georgia State University. Additionally, Laura has received post-graduate training in Play Therapy and Child-Parent Relationship Therapy. Since 2010 Laura has served children, parents, and families in a variety of settings including SafePath Children's Advocacy Center, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, and the Cobb County School District.
Laura's specialties are play therapy and parent-child relationships. She serves children, teens, young adults, parents, and families coping with adjustment to life changes, grief and loss, anxiety, and trauma. Laura offers individual, family, and play therapy in her office located near Chastain Park. She also offers parent consultations, trainings, and workshops to youth-serving organizations.
In her client work Laura approaches each individual with a mutual respect. A positive and supportive therapeutic relationship is built which promotes healing and resilience in the lives of her clients. Although Laura provides guidance and support to families, she believes in each person’s natural tendency toward growth and she seeks to empower clients to realize their full potential.
Outside of the office, Laura's favorite thing to do is spend time with her husband and two children. She loves reading and spending time outdoors.
